SAC VOLUNTEER INFO

1. The SAC library is now in an upstairs room off the main room—turn right after entering the main room.

2. Volunteers will find a volunteer log notebook on the main table at SAC.

3. Log your name and number of hours. One hour =one dollar=1 book rental for the school year.

4. There should be a TO DO list in the volunteer notebook so you can know what to do.

5. There are forms that patrons need to fill out about each book they are borrowing. It is fairly extensive as
will need all that info on hand when we do the database.

6. They will not fill them out in duplicate this year.

7. They are to be filed in the marked notebook alphabetically.

8. Video and audio cassettes are available for check out for one month. These can be posted on the regular borrower’s form

9. The next room to the SAC library is for children to play quietly. There are some toys and books there.

10. All children are to be well behaved and parents are to be alerted if they are not paying attention.

11. Payment is made in cash or check and checks are made out to SAC.

12. The SAC Library exists to make curriculum available to any family who wants to homeschool.

13. Teacher’s Manuals and student texts are available in most grades and subjects.

14. Borrowing charge: $1 per book for the school year. Books are due back each June.

15. Housed at Immanuel Baptist Church in north Springfield. Go North on Ks. Expwy one block past Chestnut (at the Salvation Army) to Nichols. Turn west on Nichols. Go 3 blocks. Turn right at Immanuel Baptist. The library is in the older stone building next to the church.)

16. Please show respect for the church office and do not come on any day that the library is not open.

17. Do NOT call the church or ask for assistance at the church office!

18. There is no air conditioning.

19. Your children must work on a quiet activity while you are there.
